Three more people signed up for Yakima area offices on the second day of filing week.聽

Tony Sandoval of Yakima has signed up for the 14th District state House Position 2 race. Jerrod Sessler of Prosser is trying again for the congressional seat. And Yakima attorney Liz Hallock announced her run in the 15th District Position 2 state House race under a "No Kings" party.聽

The primary election is Aug. 4, and the general election is Nov. 3. The top-two finishers in the primary, regardless of party, advance to the general election in November.

4th District congressional seat: U.S. Rep. Dan Newhouse, R-Sunnyside, does not plan to run for re-election.

Yakima County Commissioner Amanda McKinney, state Sen. Matt Boehnke of Kennewick, John Duresky of West Richland and Jacek Kobiesa of Pasco filed for the congressional seat Monday. Jerrod Sessler of Prosser joined the mix Tuesday.
