Many schools, businesses and government entities will be closed Monday for Memorial Day. Here鈥檚 what to expect in Yakima.

Transit: Yakima Transit will have no services for city bus routes, Dial-A-Ride and the Yakima-Ellensburg commuter. Service will resume Tuesday.

Government offices and services: City of Yakima offices will be closed Monday.

Police and fire business offices will be closed but emergency services will be available.

Yakima County government offices will be closed Monday, including the courthouse.

Solid waste facilities and transfer stations in Yakima County will be closed.

There will be no garbage or yard waste collection Monday, and it will be delayed by one day the rest of the week. For example, Monday collections will be picked up Tuesday, Tuesday collections will be picked up Wednesday and so on.

The U.S. Postal Service will be closed Monday, and regular postal hours will resume Tuesday. Closures include local post offices, no mail pickups at blue collection boxes and no regular mail delivery.

Recreation: Lions Pool will be open, and the Harman Center will be closed Saturday and Monday.

Sunnyside: City offices in Sunnyside will be closed Monday.

Other: All 黑料福利社 Libraries locations will be closed Monday. Public schools will be closed.
