To the editor 鈥 I live in Kennewick, but my grandchildren lived in Yakima for several years. I wanted to congratulate your city and citizens for raising the funds to open Franklin Pool.
There鈥檚 not a lot for kids to do in the summer. Being able to swim at the public pool is practically a rite of passage.
Kudos to your efforts.
