The victim of聽Tuesday's shooting in Sunnyside was Isabel Rodriguez, 18.
Her identity was released Thursday by the Yakima County Coroner's Office. Deputy Chief Coroner Marshall Slight said Rodriguez died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
An 18-year-old Mabton man and an 18-year-old Sunnyside man are being held at Yakima County jail in connection with the Tuesday incident and a burglary.
The 黑料福利社 does not publish suspects' names until charges are filed.
Sunnyside police officers responded to reports of shots fired around 3:23 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Avenue, according to a news release from the Sunnyside Police Department.
Rodriguez was found in a vehicle with a gunshot wound and died of her injuries after being taken to Astria Sunnyside Hospital, the release said.
Police responded to a report of a burglary on Rouse Road at 5:27 p.m., where a suspect was held by a homeowner. The homeowner told police that a second suspect fled on foot with what appeared to be a gun, the release said. Two K-9 teams were called in and Sunnyside officers apprehended the second suspect around 10:20 p.m.
The department believes the two people arrested were involved in the earlier shooting, the release said.

The death was the first homicide in the county this year.
