West Valley senior Pierson Kloster saved his best for last at Eagles Pride Golf Course in Fort Lewis on Wednesday.

The four-time state qualifier shot an even par 72 to move up into a tie for third on the second and final day of the 4A state tournament, the first top-10 finish of his career. Kloster, the winner of last summer鈥檚 Washington Junior Golf Association Cup and the 黑料福利社 sports awards male golfer of the year for 2025, recorded a 1-over145 for the tournament, four strokes behind winner Ethan Schwan from Skyline.

Three Grandview boys golfers finished in the top 25 to lead the Greyhounds to a third-place team finish at the 2A tournament in Tumwater, led by freshman Rhett Braman in seventh with a 5-over 149 after he shot a three-under 69 on Wednesday. Another freshman, Easton Stokes took 12th and senior Grady Braman placed 24th while East Valley鈥檚 Henry Paul also shot under par Wednesday to tie the younger Braman in seventh place.

La Salle鈥檚 boys also took third as a team at the 2B tournament in Liberty Lake thanks to a ninth-place finish by Aedyn Vanwingerden and 14th place for Karsen Kidder. Cle Elum鈥檚 Riley Wilfong earned her third straight top 10 finish in 2B/1B as she captured fifth place on the girls side thanks to a three-over 73 on her second day.

West Valley junior Ava Olszewski just missed her second straight top 10 appearance by shooting a seven-over 151 for 12th place at the 4A tournament in Lacey. Selah鈥檚 Elaine Mower led all Valley girls golfers with a 168 at the 2A tournament in Chehalis, good enough for an eighth-place finish that pushed the Vikings into a tie for third as a team.

Riverside Christian sophomore Austin Stephens secured second place at the 1B boys tournament in Liberty Lake with a 16-over 156 for the two days, five strokes ahead of third place.
