The Seahawks are one of four NFL teams that have inquired about free-agent cornerback Terrion Arnold 鈥 who is facing eight felony charges related to a kidnapping case in Florida last month 鈥 his agent testified in a court hearing Friday.

As reported by several media outlets, including the Detroit Free Press, agent Nicole Lynn said Arnold 鈥 a first-round draft pick of the Lions in 2024 who was waived by the team in the wake of the charges 鈥 had a workout with the Houston Texans.

She added that the Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets also have expressed interest in potentially signing him.聽

Lynn said Arnold has a visit this week with one team and a visit next week with another one, without naming either team. ESPN later reported that Arnold took a physical in Houston on Thursday and has visits planned with two more teams next week, without naming them.聽

The Seahawks had no comment.

One NFL source, however, said that while the Seahawks are thought to have inquired, they are not expected to pursue Arnold further, having apparently made an initial inquiry in line with the team's long-stated policy of being in on everything going on around the league.

Lynn made the comments during a Zoom hearing in Hillsborough County (Fla.) Circuit Court in Tampa. The hearing centered on a motion to modify restrictions of Arnold鈥檚 bond and specifically around the state鈥檚 request that he wear an ankle monitor while out on bond. Arnold paid a $1 million bond June 30.聽

The request that Arnold wear the ankle monitor was denied, and he remains free to leave his home in Tallahassee, Fla., for work- or attorney-related meetings, according to reports.

As , Arnold聽was charged with leading a plot in February to 鈥渄etain and pistol-whip three people whom he believed had stolen luxury goods and $100,000 in cash from him." The total value was the stolen goods was estimated at more than $250,000.

The AP reported that it later was determined that the three people, including Arnold鈥檚 personal driver, were not involved in the theft.

Two others charged in the incident have pleaded guilty and are cooperating with authorities, according to the AP.

According to the AP, 鈥渢hree men in their late teens were held at gunpoint, battered, pistol-whipped and robbed in a Tampa apartment on Feb. 4, police said. It was three days after Louis Vuitton bags and shoes, Rolex watches, a Bible, cash and more were reported stolen from Arnold at an Airbnb rental in Largo, Fla., about 20 miles west."

Arnold was described as the 鈥減rimary conspirator鈥 in the attack.

Arnold, listed at 5 feet 11 and 3/4 inches and 189 pounds, was a first-team All-American at Alabama in 2023 before being drafted by the Lions.

He played in 24 games, starting 22, during his two seasons with Detroit. He was limited to eight games last season due to a right-shoulder injury suffered during his rookie season in 2024.聽

That injury required 鈥渕ultiple surgeries" to repair this offseason, according to reports.

Lions coach Dan Campbell said last month that Arnold was not assured of a starting position in 2026.

"It's just about competing," Campbell told reporters. 鈥淲e've got a lot of good guys in that room. And he knows this. He's got to go earn it."

Lynn, whose list of clients includes , stated that she thinks there is 鈥渁 very good likelihood" that Arnold signs with another team in the next 45 days.

Arnold cleared waivers Monday and became a free agent. He had two years remaining on his four-year rookie deal.

鈥淚 would say after he was waived by the Detroit Lions we received four different inquiries within 24 hours," Lynn said in the hearing, according to the Free Press. 鈥 鈥 I would hate to put a time limit, to be honest with you, but I think there鈥檚 a really good shot (that Arnold signs with another team). I mean there鈥檚 a shot that he鈥檚 signed tomorrow, let鈥檚 be super clear, but we鈥檒l see."

Seattle saw cornerback Riq Woolen after he signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.

But the rest of the team鈥檚 cornerback corps from the 2025 Super Bowl-winning season returns and Josh Jobe entrenched as the starters in the base defense. Woolen spent most of last season playing as the third cornerback.

The Seahawks out of Arkansas as a potential replacement for Woolen and . They also have third-year vet Nehemiah Pritchett returning. Seattle also drafted cornerbacks Michael Dansby and Andre Fuller in the seventh round to fill out the cornerback spot.
