Two Yakima residents have been charged with dealing cocaine and methamphetamine.
Yakima County prosecutors filed a possession of cocaine with intent to deliver charge against 脫scar Mancilla Acosta, 30, and charged Iris Yesenia Galindo-Pelayo, 36, with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
Court records show the pair live at the same home in the 1600 block of Gordon Road and are listed as co-defendants. They were arrested in a raid carried out by Yakima Police Department鈥檚 DEA Task Force, according to probable cause affidavits.
Task force officers went to the home on June 2 to execute a search warrant and used a ruse to lure Acosta outside, where he was arrested, according to a probable cause affidavit. Inside the home, officers found a black backpack with two digital scales with white residue and a plastic bag with a large chunk of white compressed powder that field-tested positive for cocaine.
The total amount of cocaine found was 188.3 grams. In Acosta鈥檚 bedroom, police found $16,000 in cash, while officers also found several empty wrappers used for wrapping up kilogram packages of cocaine, the affidavit said.
Another agency had searched Acosta鈥檚 SnapChat account and found photographs of kilogram containers of cocaine and conversations about delivering cocaine and methamphetamine.
In a separate arrest, officers working with the Columbia River Drug Task Force obtained a search warrant for Galindo-Pelayo鈥檚 vehicle. Officers followed her from her home to Interstate 82, where she was stopped.
Officers found two large bags with a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. The bags weighed 1,830 grams, which the affidavit said was enough for 64,050 doses of the drug.
They were released from the Yakima County jail after posting $40,000 and $15,000 bail respectively.
