West Valley's Parker Mills plans to play his third season of football in Pullman for a former Prosser Mustang.
The Rams' senior offensive lineman committed to Washington State and new head coach Kirby Moore via social media Wednesday afternoon, flipping from an earlier commitment to six-time NAIA national champion Carroll. Mills, a three-time first team All-CBBN basketball player, only started playing football in the fall of his junior year.
After a full offseason of work he played both offense and defense for West Valley as a senior, earning second-team honors as a left tackle. The 6-foot-6, 290-pound lineman also held offers from Portland State and Montana Western and visited several Big Sky schools last summer.
