Washington State Patrol detectives are looking for a vehicle that hit and killed a 31-year-old man near Wapato without stopping Sunday.

Jeffrey A. Bushman of Wapato was walking south on U.S. Highway 97 a half-mile north of Wapato around 8:13 a.m. when a southbound vehicle hit him and did not stop, according to a State Patrol news release.

Bushman died at the scene, and an autopsy determined he was killed by blunt-force trauma, Yakima County Coroner Marshall Slight said Monday.
